يعمل تطبيق آكسلستادي لتعلّم المفردات على أجهزة آي فون وآي بود وآي باد. .يشتمل التطبيق على أكثر من 2100 كلمة مبرمجة مسبقاً مقسًمة على أكثر من 65 موضوع مختلف. ويمكن لمستخدم التطبيق تصنيف المفردات لفئات فردية خاصة بكل مستخدم على حدة، مثل " إضافة إلى فئة دراسة" مثل تصنيف الكلمات حسب الفصل المحدد من الكتاب المنهجي قيد الدراسة، التحضيرلاختبار أو لأي شكل آخر من أشكال الترتيب تناسب غرض المستخدم. التطبيق متوفّر باللغة العربية الفصحى المعاصرة وبالكثير من اللغات الأخرى؛ يستخدم التطبيق اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة افتراضية أخرى مع العربية.( على سبيل المثال، يمكن تثبيت تطبيق اسباني ـ إنجليزي أو عربي ـ إنجليزي علماً بأنه لا يتوفّر تطبيق اسباني ـ عربي)
يتيح التطبيق خاصية الاستماع للنطق الصحيح للكلمات والتي يمكن أن تكون مدرجة في شكل قائمة أو على بطاقات تعليمية أو باتباع طريقة التكرار المتباعد التي تتضمن انقضاء زمن مناسب بين التعرّض اللاحق لنفس الكلمة التي تعلّمها المستخدم سابقاً. يتيح التطبيق خاصية تتّبع تطور تعلّم المستخدم وذلك بمراجعة إحصائية للكلمات التي تعلّمها المستخدم كما يمكن عرضها في شكل رسم بياني.
يشتمل التطبيق أيضاً على خاصية وضع الاختبار حيث تظهر الكلمة على الشاشة وعلى المستخدم النقر على الترجمة الصحيحة للكلمة من الخيارات المتعددة المقترحة. ويتيح التطبيق ، علاوة على ذلك، وضعية الاستاع إلى الكلمة بدلاً عن إظهارها مكتوبة ويمكن للمستخدم الاختيار بين وضعيتي الاختبار الكتابي أو السمعي.

AccelaStudy is an app for iPhones, iPod touch, and the iPad for vocabulary study. There are more than 2,100 pre-programmed words that are broken down into more than 65 topic areas. The user can also create individual categories, such as the ‘Add to Study Set’ as you group words by textbook chapter, quiz, or any other kind of organization the user desires. It is available for Modern Standard Arabic as well as for other languages; the other default language is English. (For instance, there is a Spanish – English app and an MSA – English app, but no Spanish – MSA app.)
Audio pronunciation of the word is also available and the words can be in a list format, flashcard mode, or spaced repetition mode that incorporates increasing intervals of time between subsequent review of previously learned material. The app keeps track of your progress by reviewing your statistics of words learned, which can also be put into a graph.
The app includes a quiz mode whereby a word appears and the user must choose the correct translation via multiple choice. There is an audio mode, where the word is heard but not written; the same written multiple choice is offered to pick from as in the regular quiz mode.
