يقدّم موقع الخط قلم لزواره معلومات كافية حول الأبجدية العربية و الأنواع المختلفة لكتابة النص العربي ، وتاريخ وتطور الخط العربي. يتيح الموقع أيضاً أشرطة فيديو تعليمية توضح الأشكال المختلفة للحروف العربية في نص كتابي واحد وعبر العديد من نصوص الكتابة. كما يقدّم اختبار في كتابة النص العربي بحيث يسمح للزوار اختبار مقدراتهم في التعرّف على النصوص الخطّية المختلفة. يحتوي الموقع أيضاً على مدونة و منتدى نقاش يطرح العديد من قضايا فن الخط العربي للنقاش.
Calligraphy Qalam offers visitors information about the Arabic alphabet, various styles of scripts, and the process and history of calligraphy. It offers tutorial videos which demonstrate the various shapes of the Arabic characters both within one script and between different scripts. There is also a “script quiz” which allows visitors to test their ability to recognize different calligraphic scripts. The site also includes a blog and a forum where topics surrounding calligraphy are discussed.
