يمكن استخدام موقع قوقل للترجمة للحصول على ترجمة من وإلى العديد من اللغات. وهي أداة مناسبة للترجمة، ليس فقط من العربيةإلى الإنجليزية، بل أيضاً من العربية إلى الفرنسية أو أي من اللغات الأخرى ال 64 المدرجة في البرنامج ؛ وكذلك من الإنجليزية إلى العربية وهلم جرّا. يشتمل البرنامج على خاصية الصوت المدمج بحيث يستطيع الطلاب التأكد من النطق الصحيح للكلمات المختارة، كما يمكن أيضاً الحصول على الكلمة المختارة في جملة توضح سياق المعنى المراد، فضلاً عن إمكانية النقر على أيقونة تتيح تحديد ما إذا كانت الترجمة المقترحة مفيدة، غير مفيدة أو مسيئة.
يمكن استخدام البرنامج للحصول على ترجمة عبارات أو جُمَل كاملة وتعطى عدة خيارات لترجمة الكلمة المختارة، إضافة للترجمة الأساسية المقترحة. يمكن للمستخدم تظليل جزء من العبارة أو الجملة باللون الأصفر لمعرفة الترجمة المقترحة من قوقل لذلك الجزء بالتحديد. يوفّر البرنامج ترجمات شاملة لكلمات اللغة المختارة، كما يمكنه ترجمة نظام الأعداد الهندية إلى نظام الأعداد العربية فقط وليس من النظام العربي للنظام الهندي.
Individual words as well as entire phrases can be translated to and from a variety of languages. It is a tool that can be used not just to translate from Arabic into English but from Arabic into French or any one of the 64 languages available; and from English into Arabic, and so on. It has audio built in, so students can listen to the translated word they are looking up, and there is the possibility of seeing the word in a sentence as well. There is also a box to check stating whether the translation was helpful, unhelpful, or offensive.
It is able to translate phrases and sentences and gives multiple translation choices for words given in addition to the main translation. The user can highlight part of a phrase in yellow to see how Google Translate is translating that particular section. Vocabulary used is exhaustive and it can also translate Hindi numerals into Arabic numerals; however, it does not translate Arabic numerals into Hindi numerals.
