The objective of this lesson is to enhance students’ knowledge of vocabulary pertaining to the social issue of disability, and use this knowledge in translation in order to build their lexical competence. Through this lesson, students will be able to: grasp the main idea from listening to the introduction to the radio broadcast, listen and then fill-in the missing words that they hear, and use context to guess the meanings of unfamiliar words. By the end of this lesson, students will find opposite meanings of certain words in the program, and sharpen their translation skills. Ultimately, students are given the ability to test their knowledge on the vocabulary presented in this lesson.
