The Arabic Variant Identification Aid (AVIA) is a reference source that allows individuals to identify which Arabic dialect is being used. AVIA includes an audio component that demonstrates the proper pronunciation of words. In addition to introducing idioms, this reference provides an in depth study of morphology and syntax. The seven dialects that are currently covered include the dialects of: Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Palestine, Kuwait, and Yemen.
