This report summarizes the progress made in the first fifteen years of the 21st century in increasing access to and quality of education among the Arab nations. This is part of a world wide project sponsored by UNESCO, called Education For All. The report details the progress made under six goals: early childhood care and education, universal primary education, youth and adult skills, adult literacy, gender parity and equality, and quality of education. Students can use this report and data to learn about the status of education in the Arab world, what has been done to improve education in the Arab world, and what work remains. This report could also be used to compare education in the Arab world to that in students’ home country. >
