These free audio files accompany the First Words book (Arabic) and contain the pronunciation and English translation of all of the words found in the book. Illustrated by David Melling, Oxford’s First Arabic Words is a thematic bilingual picture book that contains more than 400 Arabic vocabulary words with their English translation. Users can take a picture-book journey through an average day, showing them familiar settings, objects, and animals among other concepts. The book offers a bird’s eye view of getting ready for school in the morning, the journey to school, inside the classroom and much more. Ultimately, The supplementary section at the back of the book includes activities such as a picture/word matching game, counting the ladybirds up to twenty, shapes, opposites, weather, time, and a comprehensive index. The vocabulary corresponding to these activities is included in the audio files.
