Description:

Global Language Project is running a 2016 Teacher Training STARTALK program from July 5-22, 2016 in Manhattan, NY (M-F 9am-4pm).Learn how to design a standards based, thematically organized curriculum. Focus on developing learning targets, using comprehensible input, and checking for understanding. The program includes a peer-teaching and student teaching component during which participants will take the theory learned and put it to practice, with peers and in a classroom setting. The STARTALK program is free of charge. Participants will earn credit hours through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED), and partial scholarships will be offered for a three-credit graduate level course at Queens College in the fall semester on articulated curriculum design. Applications are due on April 30th, 2016. >
