The objective of this lesson is to identify relationships between ideas and events in an authentic report on AIDS in the Arab world and to provide relevant translation and oral discourse. In this lesson, students will need to identify the common idea in the reading and listening reports, transcribe key phrases, and translate important information; thus building their discourse competence. Ultimately, students will need to describe steps to prevent AIDS and will be given the ability to test their knowledge on the vocabulary presented in this lesson.
