يعرض كتاب الأطفال بعنوان "الطائرة" قصة الطفل الفلسطيني الصغير "أمجد" الذي يشاهد تدمير منزل أحد جيرانهم الذي دأب على تحيته كل صباح . تتحدّث القصة عن الكابوس الذي صار ملازماً لأمجد عقب تلك الحادثة، وتأمله في فكرة لماذا لاتكون لهم طائرة مثل تلك التي دمّرت منزل جارهم. تنتهي القصة بتغلّب أمجد على مخاوفه بعد أن تمكّن من تركيب طائرة ورقية تحلّق عالياً لمسافة أبعد من تلك الطائرة المدمّرة.
The Airplane is a children’s book. It depicts the story of a young Palestinian child, Amjad who observes the destruction of the house of a neighbor who would say hello to him everyday. The story speaks of Amjad’s ensuing nightmare and his pondering why they cannot have an airplane like the one that destroyed his neighbor’s home. The story ends with Amjad overcoming his fears after being able to build a paper airplane that flies higher than the destructive airplane.
