The Grammatical Poem of Ibn Malik from the 13th century is made up of one thousand and two verses. It covers all the rules governing the Arabic language grammar. Each section explains a specific topic such as the parts of speech, verbs and tenses, nouns and their types, case endings, prepositions, and much more. In some schools in the Middle East, students memorize this poem.
