This short film highlights several Palestinian women who work in male-dominated professional fields, although with the challenges each faces and the advantages they derive from their unique situations. This is a great addition to any Arabic-language unit on professions, as it both explores gender inequalities in certain professions in the Arab world and highlights those who challenge these inequities. Students can be asked to reflect on gender inequality in certain professional fields and how is that reflected in U.S. culture, as many of the male-dominated fields mentioned in the film (taxi driver & police officer) in the West Bank are also male-dominated in the United States.
