يهدف موقع وثائق تحرير على شبكة الإنترنت إلى جمع أكبر قدر ممكن من المواد حول الثورة المصرية وتحميل الوثائق الأصلية عبر تقنية النسخ الضوئي لتتاح لمستخدمي الموقع ، وكذلك توفير ترجمة باللغة الإنجليزية للوثائق المنسوخة. تُصنّف الوثائق حسب الفئة من وثائق شخصية ، وعاطفية، وأشعار إلى الوثائق الأكثر موضوعية حول الدستور الجديد . يحتوي الموقع أيضاً على مواد مكتوبة باللغة العربية الفصحى المعاصرة وكذلك باللهجة العامية المصرية. بعض الوثائق مكتوبة أصلاً بخط اليد مما يتيح لزوار الموقع أخذ فكرة عن الأساليب المختلفة في الخط العربي.
Tahrir Documents is a site intended to compile as much written material as possible from the Egyptian revolution, put the original documents (scanned) online, and provide English translations. It is organized by category with documents ranging from personal, emotional poems to more objective pieces about the new constitution and contains material written in MSA as well as various registers of Egyptian colloquial Arabic. Some documents are also hand-written, allowing visitors to experience different styles of handwriting.
